The company was born in 2001 from an artistic collaboration between the Japanese fashion designer Yohji Yamamoto and the label Adidas. Fashion industry has been turned around by this original merger, able to create a new side of fashion market: the chic-sportswear. Its name, and its logo, is the result of a combination of the stylist’s first letter, “Y”, and the number of the three renowned Adidas’ stripes. Y-3 characterizes its clothes with simple and functional lines, enhanced by a large number of fabrics’ type, from the hi-tech textile, to the nobler one, to create a cozy total look, always innovative and refined.
