Brand synonym of goose down jackets. The name comes from the abbreviation of Monastier de Clermont, a mountain village near Grenoble. In 1952, Renè Ramillon founds the company by producing camping tents and padded sleeping bags. Later, it starts the production of goose down jackets specifically studied for harsher climates, thanks also to the intuition of the famous alpinist Lionel Terray who sees in the materials used for the sleeping bags, excellent solutions for high altitude clothes. In 1992, the brand is bought by an Italian company which treasures the company’s know-how by creating other garments fit for mountain and city at the same time. In fact, the last collections are featured by the combination of technology and nature, mountain and city for an ever more special and fashionable elegance.
